Last week was the last of the canned Movie Mondays.
It’s hard to believe but my NetFlix account and the activity I had on their community pages provided me with over two years of content to post. And really it was a good thing because as miniscule as the traffic is to my isolated corner of the internet, Movie Mondays at least provided regular content so the blog didn’t go dark as it were.
Strangely enough, most of my writing of late has been at work.
Over the last few months, I’ve found myself branching out more in an effort to reposition myself in the marketplace. Since I can write, I do write when the occasion offers itself up and although a friend took me to task over drinks on Friday for offering up a skill and not getting properly compensated for it, you’ve got to walk before you run.
Blog stuff is free and easy for the most part... stream of consciousness bs that just flows through the fingertips but at work, I actually have to sit down and think about what i’m saying, who I’m saying it too and whether or not it’s effective even with my limited vocabulary.
It’s challenging.
And the only other reason i haven’t been writing more is because I just find myself exhausted by days end.
Wiped, spent, what have you... even as I write now I am in the midst of a rather gargantuan yawn. Which means I probably should draw it to a close and get ready for bed.
BUT! I do have an idea and I’ve been fooling around with it, turning it over in my head and it’s something that would mean at least four months of unbroken posts, a new one each and every day. Just have to get motivated.
